A Bit About Me
Hi, I'm Jamie-lee Jade, your local Halesowen based Family photographer, With years of experience, I have devoted much of my life to photography and the arts. I've successfully run a photography studio and have a background in modeling, ensuring I can help achieve the best poses. As a full-time mom, understand the importance of capturing precious moments, especially with children. After my daughter was born in 2022, we faced complications that delayed her newborn photos, shaping my perspective on family photography. Now, I am dedicated to helping families capture memories, specializing in candid, emotion-filled images through relaxed, child-led sessions. Whether in my home studio, your home, or outdoors, I strive create stunning, timeless memories for you and your loved ones offering a personalized experience you will cherish for years.
The Journey
September 2009- June 2011: Cadbury sixth form centre A levels in photography, fine art and sociology , and level 3 live drawing
September 2011 -June 2012: BCU (BIAD) - BA Degree in Art and Design, specialising in illustration and photography
September 2012 - June 2015: BCU (BIAD) - Foundation degree in art and design, with a special emphasis on mental health studies through photography
July 2020 - August 2023: I curated and hosted model portfolio building sessions, and collaborative events, uniting models, photographers, and other creatives. This success led to the opening of Shoottraits Studios, where we held networking events that fostered further collaboration. the studio closed November, 2022, shortly before my daughter was born. With shoottraits being officially dissolved in August 2023.
April 2023- Present: JamieJPhotography, originally JamieJCreates, began with photographing friends' newborns and cake smashes, quickly turning into a passion. Our first Christmas mini sessions sold out in weeks, marking start of a rewarding journey. As a photographer and mother, I value capturing fleeting moments. Though we're just a couple years old, our dedicated clientele appreciates our child-led, relaxed mini sessions. When you book with us, you're not just hiring a photographer; you're partnering with someone committed to creating beautiful, timeless family memories in any setting.
The Creative Space
Welcome to my home studio, where a cosy and inviting atmosphere awaits you! Unlike traditional studios, my space is crafted to make you feel right at home from the moment you step inside. It's all about comfort and relaxation, transforming your visit into a delightful experience rather than a formal session.

Cosy and comfortable, my studio can accommodate up to 6 people. For larger groups, we offer the option of an outdoor session or hiring a larger studio venue. Please note that this will incur an additional cost to your session.

The studio has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. There's a comfy sofa, a mirror attached to the door for added convenience and safety, when you need those last minute outfit checks. A variety of toys to keep children entertained during play breaks. An Alexa device is ready to play your favourite songs on demand, helping set the perfect atmosphere. And if you're looking for some effortless entertainment, the TV comes preloaded with YouTube.
